What Is ADAS Windshield Calibration?
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. These systems rely on cameras and sensors mounted behind the windshield to monitor your surroundings, detect lane markings, read traffic signs, and identify obstacles. When a windshield is replaced, even a fraction-of-a-millimeter shift in camera position can throw off the entire system. A camera misaligned by just 1 degree can shift its detection zone by several feet at highway speed, meaning your automatic braking may fire late, early, or not at all.
Recalibration restores your camera’s alignment to the vehicle’s geometric centerline so every safety system works as designed.

Static Calibration
Performed with the vehicle stationary inside a controlled environment. We position manufacturer-specific target boards at precise distances and heights from the vehicle. A diagnostic tool communicates with the camera module to reset its alignment. Used on most Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, and many European vehicles.
Dynamic Calibration
Performed while driving the vehicle at a sustained speed (typically 35-65 mph) on marked roads. A diagnostic scan tool connected to the OBD-II port guides the camera to recalibrate by reading real lane lines and road features. Used on many Ford, GM, Chrysler, and some BMW/Mercedes models.
Dual Calibration
Some vehicles require both static and dynamic calibration to fully reset all ADAS systems. We confirm your exact requirements at booking based on year, make, model, and trim.
